So this is #5. I am exhausted and yet am also greatly anticipating the arrival of a book I ordered and the return of someone I am missing an absurd amount. I feel as though I hardly have the energy to move and that I am not getting anything done that I want to get done but I am so extremely happy and content. I have rediscovered some of the most amazing music ever created that warms every cold winters day. Fortunately for me I have people in my life that have the same effect on me. I really can’t complain, things are splendid.
Nighttime dance sessions at my house are the best. Dancing in the dark to the most delicious tunes with the best company is one of my favourite things to do.
At the moment two of my favourite people are away. This should be a good excuse for me to get some work done but there’s a weird thing going around that is draining everyones energy completely and leaving me with hardly anything. I happen to have pretty intense willpower though so I am still up late every night no matter how wrecked I am, trying to get a bit of work done. I did manage to design a new piece tonight but I’m not so sure about it. Perhaps I’ll put it up later.
Speaking of late I’m about to hit the early hours of the morning so I should probably have a shower and get some rest. More soon as I continue to fight this exhaustion.
#4 of my lips series. I have been busy. I feel like I never rest. Living on 4 hours sleep a night and working almost 9 hour days then coming home to work is a smidge exhausting. I’m loving my life though. Loving this song too:

I have been far too absent lately. So much has been happening. Life is so busy but also completely wonderful. I’m working so much at the moment so I haven’t had a lot of time to do my own work but I have finished 3 new pieces this week that I will be posting soon. I’ve been watching a bunch of classic horror movies, listening to beautiful music and having inspiring dreams.
This photo is another from The Horrors set I saw a while back. Live music is incredible but there is also something really special about the sound of music through my record player as I move around in the dark. I need to spend more time doing things like that.
Excuse my absence, life happened. This is the third piece of the current series. I intended on having more completed by now however certain things have prevented creation. There are a few in progress but we shall just have to be patient. I am aching for sleep and my crisp, clean sheets and therefore this will remain short. I’d still love to hear what anyone thinks so if you like, leave a comment.
Things are getting better and better every day. I’m working more, being distracted less and loving every second of it. I’m getting more late nights and more early mornings. I’m reading again, I’m watching again and I’m creating constantly. I have amazing people in my life that just make every day perfect. I’m listening to beautiful new music that just makes everything glow and everything feels wonderful. Basically things are absolutely splendid, I couldn’t ask for anything more right now.
#2 of the new series. This one was tricky. I’m not too keen on this one, mainly because these lips were sharp and cut rather than big, plump, round lips. I’m working on the next piece at the moment which should look a bit better. I suppose that’s what you get with a series though, some you like, some you don’t. I’m not going to let that stop me though.
This is another new experimental piece, I’m actually quite fond of this one. This was completed this morning after a bit of a play with some fresh ideas. I’m not entirely sure what I had initially intended for this but I am pleased with the result. I like pieces with a bunch of negative space, a nice contrast and a splash of bold colour.
Today’s creation. I’m not sure where these ideas originate from but I did have some incredibly odd dreams last night, I suppose I am used to that though as it happens every night. I’ve been thinking a lot lately, not that I don’t normally but so much so that it is exhausting. I am now making an effort to get back into my design and art (as I have been slacking lately due to visitors and my housemate and an attempted ‘break’ from working at home). I’ve produced a bunch of new things already, since last night, which is great but as far as quietening my thoughts nothing appears to be helping. I can’t recall the last time I slept without dreaming or waking several times which eventually makes you feel as though you never rest. This is an endless feeling for me. Hopefully this changes soon.
A new collage piece, this one has been floating about on my computer for a while but I wasn’t quite content with it until today. I fixed it up a bit more and made a few changes so it’s sitting pretty well with me at the moment. Wolves are beautiful, again I have popped in another animal, I love them. I seem to be developing a bit of a pattern with this colour in my recent works too. I’m generally not much of a fan of red. It’s a good colour but I don’t really wear it much or own many red things, I like more subtle colours like grey, blue, black and white.
I think my thoughts are a little scattered at the moment, or perhaps it just sounds that way to me, I’m feeling a bit like Karl Pilkington, probably the effect of listening to him as I’m typing this.
